Waiting Is Not Easy! An Elephant and Piggie book - Mo Willems - Read aloud, read along #readtiacarla
We Are in an ART-ivity Book!
His simple, loveable characters motivate young readers to try their own hand at drawing and creating, while the silly, giggle-inducing antics of characters like The Pigeon have kids begging to read the stories again and again. So what better way to encourage kids to express their artistic sides than with the help of The Pigeon, Elephant and Piggie, and Knuffle Bunny? Read on for activities that will not only have kids falling even more in love with their favorite characters, but will also send their imaginations into high gear! After reading a couple of antic-filled stories, ask kids: what do you think The Pigeon will want next and why? Tell them it can be anything, big or small. Is it a giant pizza? A chance to walk on the moon?
I have this one and the other piggie and Gerald activity book. I wish there were more because it was also great for road trips keeping my son quite and occupied .

However from time to time turning a play date into a themed event is just plain fun. If you want you can also grab a tray and container for the crackers and some paper placemats, they were an impulse buy when I grabbed the pig cookie cutter but they worked out great to have the playdate schedule not to mention the kiddos can draw on them too! Slice up some watermelon and using the pig cookie cutter I made little piggies that can actually stand! Next, I poured the animal crackers in the dish, popping all the elephants on top. We are going with a theme people, roll with me!
