Most reviews were very favourable, commenting on Rowling's imagination, humour, simple, direct style and clever plot construction, although a few complained that the final chapters seemed rushed.

These are the very appreciated scenes in the movie that weren't in the book. In the movie, the glass vanished, Dudley fell inside and got trapped like a total git.
I absolutely loved listening to it! I had definitely forgotten certain differences between the book and the movie. I listed them in chronological order. I feel that all the details that were taken out of the film were fitting to allow for a reasonable time lenght. The first movie is already over two hours long. The fact that I could only come up with 7 major difference is a testament to how well done the adaptation is. However, feel free to let me know if there are any others I might have missed.
