Class time will include Power Point presentations, in-class demonstrations, review of books and resources, and critique and discussion time. Students will focus on their medium of choice and create three to four finished illustrations for a professional portfolio, as well as designing a professional postcard and business card showcasing their best work. Students will also experiment with the medium of words and will craft one picture book manuscript for the class, as well as a storyboard and book dummy. The final project will be a finished illustration from that story in the medium of their choice.
